A word of warning: Many internal links in this site point to empty pages. These are pages I WANT to update, but haven't gotten around to. What can I say? Maybe one day they will contain what they where ment to. I could remove the links but then I'd forget the pages. You see, dear readers. A true dilemma...

Just another day...

The final proof, that life is back to pretty boring normal. I had my stitches out this morning, and I walk reasonably well again. I went to work and fit in about 5 hours of boring system design and dokumentation work. The dark side of being project manager is all the boring dokumentation, and administrative work.

Unfortunately I couldn't get tickets to the World Cup quarter finals, after Denmark, with some sensational play qualified by beating Nigeria. I really want to go to Frnce even without a ticket, but again, my wimpy knee seems to get in the way as I realize how futile it is to join the brazilian and danish street-party, when all I can do is pathetically hobble throug the streets. So the party will be kept in Copenhagen.

The entire Danish nation is still in happy trauma, unbelieving of the football miracle we wittnessed this past Sunday. What a great day for Denmark. Now, tonight I is England - Argentina, and the last of the 1/8th finals involving a Maluco team. I really hope England do the job.

After work I dropped by mom and dad's place, for a discussion on the role of the Internet in scientific methodology, with some colleagues of my mom's. Quite interesting.

I'm still hoping Yael and Nicola, fly in for a visit, as that should cheer up a summer that looks to become one of the most boring in years. No real vacation I think, because I do need the money to get on the road again....

Earlier today I was hobbling along, looking for a replacement for my recently stolen bicycle, and I got to thinking about going to France for the quarter finals, about my knee, and all the small things my knee has prevented me from doing. The Roskilde festival. Moving abroad to work. Partying all night in town after Denmark won last sunday. Going to France.

I guess it all caught up with me, and suddenly I was swearing at myself. My capacity for feeling sorry for myself, never ceases to maze me. I thought; How many people on earth even dream about doing those things that my knee has caused me to postpone, for what? 6 months, even 4 years. How many people are this lucky?

I think there's no avoiding this self-pity living in a safe world like ours. Seldom is there cause for us to remind ourselves of our luck. Seldom is anything taken from us, anything impossible to us....

Hmmm... enough of that crp, the football game is on now, and my knee excercises are way due.....

Ohhh... and about the site, I know there's a lot of work to do, but what can I say:

After the World Cup, after...
