A Day of glory: DENMARK in Last 16 at WC98 |
May I remind you what a great day today is. Due in no part to their own strength, but rather to the weekness of their opponents, DENMARK, has in what is only our 2nd appearance at a Football World Cup, again managed to qualify to the final knockout part of the tournament. What Spain couldn't do, and DENMARK did. We did it.... Here from euphoric DENMARK, my thoughts go out, especially to those South American countries, Brazil, Chile and Paraguay, who have shown their worth and qualified along-side DENMARK. For the sake of my english friends I only hope they will not be joined by their (almost) neighbours Colombia. Ahhhh! Eu tô MALUCO...... Just as my hopes and support go out to the Maluco nations and my amigos in Mexico and England, and really hope they manage too, my sadness goes out for Scotland who didn't manage to beat those dispicably boring, Brazil beating, Norwegian 'Drillo' legionaires and take their spot in the next round.
I realize, of course, how much work has to go into all the pages of this site, before I can expect anyone to be interested, but it's damn hard while the World Cup is on. Games afternoon and evening make it hard to catch up. So for now there may not be room for updating anything but these front-page raves. Anyway the truth is, this whole thing is mostly for me anyway. I used to write all the time, but have grown lazy from lack of serious challenges. That of course is my fault and my fault only.... Well, now I'm, back to writing, and while my English, as well as my typing seem a bit rusty to me, it means a lot to me that I get the chance to talk to the world about the things that matter to me. It's a great way for me to get things off my chest. And once I get into it, pull myself together, get my scanner set up I may even make something useful out of this site.
Well, I'm mostly out of anything reasonable to write, since I'm busy recovering from arthroscopy to the knee, watching world cup footie, and reading the results from that same tournament. Well tomorrow is my first official day of work since surgery last friday, so I have to get up early for rehab before big-brother picks me up and drops me off. So I'll be off now... Good Night!
