I work. I recently left a job as a mobile Internet expert at Icon Medialab, Europes largest Internet development company. Although it was a great job, I decided to give myself a different sort of challenge.
I went of on a 3 month project in Accra, Ghana with an NGO called GeekCorps. Here I am. In Accra, trying to give my 5 cents worth of skills transfer to a nation that needs some help in getting itself into the information age. I'm trying, I cannot yet say I have suceeded, but I'm trying. I used to be a programmer, Project Manager and Technical Project Manager here, before I started going mobile. Before that I used to develop extranet, database integration for the former Danish Telco's Internet department. Neither is bad as jobs go, but as long as there are Dreamjobs and dream positions out there, there are places to go..... Of course I'm not qualified. But Maybe it will spawn off a volunteer opportunity. Who knows. Otherwise. Work is mystery to me. I love to travel requiring money, but also personal liberty to go whenever the pressures of social interaction overwhelm me. How to combine the two. Maybe I'll head out towards London the city of cities, on contract work. Maybe I'll get obsessed with raving.
